Seattle’s Firefly Kitchen teaches the old-fashioned way to make kraut and fermented vegetables, retaining their health-boosting probiotic power and tasty tang. Co-founder Julie O’Brien will demonstrate three surprising recipes from her cookbook Fresh and Fermented: a main course, fruit smoothies and even dessert. Fermenting jars provided (or bring your own). Cookbooks will be sold and Julie will be signing them.
