Jessa integrated her love of the steampunk aesthetic into her home’s decor with the Varick Chandelier from Restoration Hardware. Exposed pipes and fittings are shaped into a dramatic arrangement and Edison bulbs offer a moody glow—it’s a sleek option for a vaulted ceiling.
The Greenfields’ dining table was designed and built by Bart Templeman, now with Dare Designs, a custom furniture studio based in Spokane. Templeman specializes in using reclaimed wood, such as oak planks recovered from decommissioned train cars, to craft future family heirlooms.
SolForge bills itself as a “Modern Smithy,” and is a group of professional blacksmiths, metalsmiths, fabricators and designers working in a studio outside Olympia. We like their series of handmade steel shelf brackets, wherein the texture wrought by the hammer’s strike is visible. It’s beauty and utility combined.
