We have rounded up the best events and top Washington events and products for you to enjoy in June and July.
Bite of Seattle
The Washington event on our list involves snacking on local food and sipping a local drink while enjoying live music and perusing vendors? We can’t think of anything either. The event includes more than sixty restaurants, a free movie night, outdoor beer garden and family fun zone. The highlights are the cook-off competitions and demonstrations on The Bite stage. Don’t miss it!
Vashon Island Strawberry Festival
The 109th Strawberry Festival is a celebration of all things strawberry, and a great excuse to soak up some of the things that make Vashon Island special. Choose between the classic car show, parade, beer garden, music stages and artisan vendors. Event highlights are the carnival, street dance and fun run.
Evergreen Mug
This little mug caught our eye because of its very Pacific Northwest-y treescape. Made of enameled cast iron, it’s the perfect thing to toss in your bag for a weekend camping trip or even just a day-hike pitstop.
Tom Bihn Cafe Bag
Since 1972, Tom Bihn has been creating utilitarian bag designs with style. This small cafe bag comes in a variety of sizes and bag options. The crossbody strap makes it an ideal, everyday bag with enough room to hold all your daily must-have items. The high-quality bags, with a lifetime warranty, are handmade in Seattle.
Cooking from Scratch
This cookbook, created by Seattle’s PCC Community Markets, showcases 120 seasonal and simple recipes to inspire you to prepare meals from scratch using local, organic ingredients available in your area. You’ll also find tips on food storage, cooking and shopping, along with some of PCC’s most popular dishes.
Kirkland Uncorked
Taste wines from more than seventy of Washington’s best and newest vineyards from July 13 to 15 while giving to a good cause. Kirkland Uncorked is a benefit for the Homeward Pet Adoption Center in Woodinville. While you’re there, be sure to check out live music at the main stage, the burger brawl and the canvas paint and sip.
