Step into Washington’s temperate rainforest. TreeHouse Point, in Fall City, is only a half hour from Seattle, but it couldn’t feel farther away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The bed-and-breakfast property, with six hand-hewn tree houses and a small lodge, is the brain child of Pete Nelson. Nelson purchased the property in 2005, after nearly a lifetime of building tree houses. Since building his first tree house on the site, Temple of the Blue Moon, he’s added five more. And he’s also started a company, Nelson Tree House and Supply, which offers workshops and sells the tools and units necessary to build your own at home.
